Is that SNOT in your nose?

Today’s Christian’s have a heir to the KING mentality, which is good, but without humility it becomes on the edge of heresy.  See, I see us (Yes i put me in there because we all represent each other) with our nose in the air and a pompous attitude (which i know there are people who aren’t but the outsiders don’t see us like that).  Things changed when I began to read this passage in the message…HERE TAKE A LOOK.

Galatians 6

“1 Live creatively, friends. If someone falls into sin, forgivingly restore him, saving your critical comments for yourself. You might be needing forgiveness before the day’s out.2 Stoop down and reach out to those who are oppressed. Share their burdens, and so complete Christ’s law.3 If you think you are too good for that, you are badly deceived.4 Make a careful exploration of who you are and the work you have been given, and then sink yourself into that. Don’t be impressed with yourself. Don’t compare yourself with others.5 Each of you must take responsibility for doing the creative best you can with your own life.6 Be very sure now, you who have been trained to a self-sufficient maturity, that you enter into a generous common life with those who have trained you, sharing all the good things that you have and experience.7 Don’t be misled: No one makes a fool of God. What a person plants, he will harvest. The person who plants selfishness, ignoring the needs of others—ignoring God!—8 harvests a crop of weeds. All he’ll have to show for his life is weeds! But the one who plants in response to God, letting God’s Spirit do the growth work in him, harvests a crop of real life, eternal life.9 So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit.10 Right now, therefore, every time we get the chance, let us work for the benefit of all, starting with the people closest to us in the community of faith.”

We as Christian’s have been mislead to love our emotions and feelings more than others.  I want all to know that i’m all about the faith, all about the valid emotions one can face.  But it seems with one wrong move, forgiveness is thrown out the door and judgement is the center piece for the dinner table.  I love the word’s of Jesus when he said “BLESSED are the peacemaker’s for they will be called SON’S of GOD!”  See the idea of peacemaking is being an HEIR FOR GOD!  Not Judgement.  What has happened to Xian’s (JUST ME PUTTING AN X MIGHT HAVE OFFENDED XIANS) heart to be pure?  Have we lost the forgiving spirit?  It’s easy to be hurtful but with the same energy, let’s back off and be creative. HOW CAN WE FORGIVE CREATIVELY because ONE day you’ll need forgiveness.  Don’t be quick to run out of a church because you’re hurt, be quick to forgive and move forward in love because one day you’ll need someone to do it for you.  

This is what i’m missing @ home!  I know that God has something in-store when you sacrifice the things you love.  I am excited about God is going to do in my life here at @ catalyst west coast.  Sacrifice this week to see what God can do in your life. He is worth it and “…is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us…” Eph. 3:20

Legally Adopted

Is there true freedom in GOD?  Is there True Liberty?

My Family had a tradition every Saturday morning to go eat as “MEN.”  Well, it was one of the most memorable times for me b/c it’s the only memory I can remember with my father when I was young.  I really felt like my Dad’s son, when he looked at me and told me how proud he was or how amazing I was doing. It was my Dad’s time to GLOAT over me and my brother.

I really began to read Galatians and found something that really changed my aspect of God.  I began to see the church and God as a example of a bad system of love.  It was law driven and law abiding with little Freedom.  Let’s be real, when we read the church, it’s not like the bible.  We aren’t living like God really exists, we live in a “I KNOW” world.  Like we ALL know it already.  I have began to understand that the biggest problem isn’t that we don’t believe there is a God but that we are his Son’s and Daughter’s.  God’s way of Gloating over us is by sending His son and giving us a legally adopted form signed in the blood of Jesus, on a criminal’s death proceeding.  We need not to forget Freedom comes by understanding we had a curse upon us but until the veil was torn, we lived by a LAW but Jesus became that Payment for adoption and now we are grafted in!  WOW! What an idea of love and freedom that Christ said yes to it even when he could have foregone this task!  Thank you for making me a heir to your estate God and you deserve it all!

The Simplest Idea

Growing up I had the hardest time with Geometry. I don’t remember why my mind couldn’t grasp the ideology of it but I couldn’t get the reason why it was in existence.  Algebra, Multiplication, Fractions, and decimals didn’t throw me off, but Geometry come on who invited these ideas.  Had to be that loner guy that wanted attention.  Then as i got older i really didn’t see how much that class came into play in my life. You see that class wasn’t hard per-say, it was the mentality I had towards that class that hurt me more.  It was a combination of two things, one being Ian, my friend and the second being the complexity factor.  You see i made it more complex than the loner made it be from the beginning.  I understand that our focus determines our reality and our reality as Christians isn’t what God intended.  We made our reality more complex then what Jesus spoke about.  You see Jesus had a way of making hard situations and topics become more valuable to the community he was around.  What have we made Jesus look like, a complex being with a complex problem?  When will we wake up to the reality that Jesus Christ is the beginning and the end and his words were more simple than we make them out to be.  Have you ever thought Christianity was too much of a complex problem?  Have you thought about Love and the great commandment and the great commission.  There is a reason why it’s the only thing that matters!  It’s the most important to God, His Son, and the Holy Spirit.  What have we lost hold of as Christians.  

The Simplest Idea is taking the simple and applying it to your life.  Who have you Loved?  What have you cared for?  Has it been the “Blessings” in your life, or the people that need HIM?  What will we do without the understanding of the simple.  Complexity makes you frustrated, and Jesus isn’t the author of Confusion.  Sometimes your mind is playing tricks and we need to stand up in the understanding that Jesus IS the way.
